The Victoria blouse is a cotton-alpaca short-sleeved blouse that exudes quality. It's hand-knitted (of course) and really needs to be experienced. Not like other hand-knitted items you can find around.
The six colors have been carefully selected to surprise a little bit and make you think. The lavender purple can be associated with the wild collectives of the 1970s and diapers on teachers' heads. The peachy tones dress up a wide range of colors if you want to break the brown or grey tones of the street scene. Similarly, the mint green is chosen to kick off all sorts of joy. Think bouquet of flowers and guaccomole at a sidewalk café with good friends.
The Victoria blouse is knitted by women in Burundi as "Work as the solution". Surrounded by her children, the woman can earn a week's worth of food for the whole family from home by creating it. Each blouse is therefore unique and may vary slightly from blouse to blouse. African craftsmanship is the foundation of Coffee Beanies' identity.
Quality: 100% biodegradable. 80% cotton and 20% alpaca. Alpaca is the best source of yarn. It is gentle in its environment, drinks very little water and eats only the outer twigs over a large area. It is the most temperate wool of all. At the same time, it holds water up to 40% of its own weight without losing its ability to warm you.
