Elin Hansen from Roskilde who knitted the throw is our indispensable volunteer pattern designer and test knitter. She has been the brain and heart of the design journey from the very beginning of Coffee Beanies.
Elin knows the knitting skills of Africans inside out when she sits down to carefully design a pattern. She has thought about every detail so that they can learn quickly and seamlessly and invite many new knitters from the villages in Burundi on board. What motivates Elin the most is that Coffee Beanies empowers women to help themselves.
